Gangster Speakeasy Party
The Speakeasy Club came into prominence during the Prohibition era,
as an illicit establishment selling alcoholic beverages.
Step back to the time of financial prosperity, to the 'mob' era of the 1920's. The 1920's was all about Jazz, loud music, lots of illegal drinking, gambling and organised crime. Prohibition was over and so people were anxious to get out on the town again to have a great time.
A great way to theme your party room is a Speakeasy jazz club (no admittance without a password). Great celebrities of the era were Al Capone, Charlie Chaplin, Coco Chanel, Greta Garbo, Mae West and Harry Houdini. This is a really fun them for guests to dress up. Make a big impact at the party entrance using door curtains and scene setters.
